Dingle in a VW T5 Camper just for one night. The Dingle peninsula is the highest of the five peninsulas on the South West Coast of Ireland. We were just driving around and visiting a few beaches. I thought I would share a few places we discovered that would be good for a free overnight park and sleep.
The first place is inch beach. You could park off the road there, but I don’t think I would.
Carrying on towards Dingle town and just before you arrive in Dingle there is a small beach called, Beenbane where an overnighter could be OK (N52 07.252 W10 15.009) I would consider going to the end of Dingle though.
So carry on through Dingle town, stop for a look around and a pint though…. Follow the WAW until you get to Dunquin. Famous for the film “Ryan’s Daughter” Here there are two places that have great overnight potential one is the parking spot above Dunquin beach (N52 06.581 W10 27.977) with great views over the Blasket Islands.
We stopped also to check out the boats for the Blaskets but they were off for a few days.
Or a few miles further up the road on the way around Slea Head you get to a nice beach “Clogher” which you arrive to down a “cul de sac” which kind of means it will be a quiet night (N52 09.431 W10 27.553).
We had a great ten hour sleep here with no noise at all, there were two other vans there too, but we did not even see the occupiers of these vans.
In the evening we drove a couple of miles to Gortmore where we had a couple of drinks in Murphy’s Bar before returning to sleep.
There are no toilets at any of these places. But nice and calm and recommended.
If you got this far please give us a like below, thanks
